Also, you can just use uhd_usrp_probe to load the firmware and test
the connection... might be a little bit quicker than using
gnuradio-companion.
To that end, there are Y-cables for USB-3.0 that allow you to get power
from two ports at once, although data only goes over 1 port.
Might be worth a try.
