PyBOMBS installs QWT 5.2. I'm thinking this probably goes back to the discussion I had with Michael Dickens recently about PyQWT stating that they won't be supporting QWT 6. So right now, PyQWT 5 works with Qwt 6, but there's a question as to how stable that is.
