I'm also getting that error about 50% of the time when running through a 
switch.  I checked the pcap output and when it fails, the host sends an icmp 
port unreachable msg to the usrp.

Jay mentioned in a previous email ubluntu 11.10, which is quite old by
now (13.04 is out). Perhaps there could be a network driver issue that
was resolved in a newer release.
