I think Marcus' response already covers this, so I won't spend much time
here. I think what you are reacting to has more to do with our lack of real
integration with the standard installation procedures for the civilized
Linux distros out there (apt-get and yum in particular). But, again, using
any civilized distro, all of our package requirements are well supported
and have been for years.
