Just a head's up with my recent merge into the trunk. Because it removes
a few unnecessary and unused blocks in lib/general, if you don't clean
up the dependencies in this directory, future makes will fail. The
easiest way to do this is probably just do a "make distclean" in that
directory. Then rerun bootstrap, configure, and make.
