I got boost 1.36 installed on ubuntu 8.04.1. I didn't tell it to use /opt/boost_1_36_0, so it went to /usr/local/lib. I re-compiled gnuradio (bootstrap, configure, etc) without telling it where to find boost. I just did the "broken libtool" thing (edit /etc/ld.so.conf).
