Hello,

I'm sorry to bother with this question, but I don't have the necessary
technical knowledge to answer it. A couple years ago a module for the CX2388x
video processor so it could work as an ADC for GNU Radio feeding raw data.

I have a TV card with that chip but the tuner is a Xceive XC2028.

This tuner is programmable via firmware. There is support for it in the Linux
kernel since 2.6.25. Firmware images are 22 bytes long and are stored in a
single file; there are like 80 images, some of them with suggestive names like:

Firmware 79, type: SCODE FW HAS IF (0x60000000), IF = 8.20 MHz id:
(0000000000000000)

I was wondering if it's at least theoretically possible to program this tuner
to output an IF instead of a TV composite signal.

Thank you
