I was actuallly missing libusb-devel FC5 package, this is not installed by default even if you choose the "software development" configuration template when performing FC5 installation.
why not adding this specific hint on the FC5-specific installation guide on the website?
at the moment I think I still got something wrong with te GUIs,
wxPython is installed and so is gr-wxgui.
I get this from usrp_wfm_rcv.py:
