Thanks. In general, I think we ought to push the selection of audio "subsystem" into a preference somewhere. Yes, I know we're missing that feature right now. I'm fine that you've modified these to test everything, but I think we're going to want a single fix that gets them all. Probably somewhere in audio.py.
