Hi all,
I've been using and shipping directfb with my distribution for 3 years
now,
and I've never once had a problem, but that changed when I updated to
2.6.36 with directfb 1.4.13 (gentoo sources) and 1.4.15 (also gentoo)
It appears that layer 1 on the i810/815 is broken, if I use it, all I
get is a black
screen, although it appears as if the decoder chain is working
properly.
The hardware it is built to run on is an Intel i810/Celeron based Set-
Top-Box
called the Samsung SMT-7020s.
If I specify layer 0 as primary-only layer, I get a nice picture but
abysmal performance.
Which is what I expect.
My question is: Is this a known issue ? Is there an easy way (kernel
patch) way around ?

Note that the primary... settings must be enabled for me to see
