Heyho over there, we are currently doing an OS with a new graphics output and a completely new way of input handling. We think about using Clutter as Toolkit and we do not want to use any kind of X-Server for providing GLX-functionality.
We had a look at many Projects wanting to abolish the X-Server, such as GGI and KGI, SciTech MGL and SciTech SNAP SDK, the fbdev used with X, and many more, but most of those projects are dead or not powerful enough for our needs. Therefore we are still looking for a possibility to skip the X-Server and use the Framebuffer for the complete graphics output. Your project page doesn't say much about hardware requirements hardware support, only out-dated video cards are listed as supported. Are newer Nvidia Cards such as the 6600, 6800, 7600 or 8800 series supported? We will use a screen with [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a desktop environment with 3D-support, can you tell us what video card we would need for having a fast and smoothly running video output?
