Hi all,
I have some basic doubt on how DirectFB works on a hardware. We have
a Hardware on which it is said that the frame buffer is enabled in the
kernel. We have Linux as the operating system on the hardware. All the
libraries required by DirectFB is present on the hardware /lib folder.
Now i Created a simple DirectFB application "Fill Rectangle" as
given in the tutorials section of the DirectFB site, and first i
compiled it using the open source DirectFB libraries, and checked it
working on the desktop and is Displaying on the frame buffer.
Now i took the same code, and compile the code using the hardware's
tool chain, and the pre compiled libraries setting the path of
LD_LIBRARY_PATH, and then took the exe... to the hardware and tried to
run using "MiniCom", but nothing was coming on the serial port...i.e the
Log message that is generally displayed in the startup of DirectFB
Application.
I know the information is not complete, but can any one of you help
me in finding what all should be taken care which using DirectFB on and
hardware, where the frame buffer is enabled in the Kernel itself.
I would be great full if any one can help me out.The detailed
problem i will mail 2morrow.

Regards
Animesh Bhadra
