They are designing and implementing ODI for the 1st time in this group, so you will serve as resident expert in ODI! Project is building a new Datawarehouse based on Oracle ODI (previously known as Synapsis). The business being supported is variable annuities so that experience is a big plus. This is a hands-on "doer" role. The candidates will be leading development of new Datawarehouse that use Oracle / PL SQL. Ideal candidate will have strong analytical background (i.e., degree in quantitative analysis, etc) to relate to business partners who are actuaries. Responsibilities: Involved in the analysis, design, development and implementation of software applications. Determines user requirements, leads application design, plans projects, establishes priorities and monitors progress. Evaluates project status and resource utilization and implements changes to improve the team's effectiveness. May coordinate with other managers to integrate project with other applications. The candidate should have the following background and skills: . Demonstrated programming experience with Visual Studio .NET 2005, VB.NET, ASP.NET . Strong background in SQL programming . Experience with Oracle and PLSQL stored procedures and triggers desirable . Experience working with DB2 databases and tools desirable . Strong organizational skills and attention to detail . Strong written and verbal communication skills Experience preferred: . Project work involving complex business component and user interface development . Business background in Variable Annuities . Relevant experience under all software development lifecycle phases including requirements definition and testing.
