Alex, many thanks for your message. My experience has been with Parse::Dia::SQL from CPAN. I have not been using dia2code. However I did download it and read about it some.
I am not sure about the FK naming convention. My fact table might have 20 surrogate keys pointing to a dimension. They cannot all use the "id" name. The foreign keys are not part of the primary key of the fact table. Can dia2code generate the SQL for creation of foreign keys? I did not see one in the examples. Does dia2code produce different SQL based on the target database? Oracle, DB2, Postgress, Pure Data/Netezza, MySQL, etc.? I tried to join the dia2code general mailing list, but I do not think I have been successful yet. _______________________________________________ dia-list mailing list dia-list@gnome.org https://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/dia-list FAQ at http://live.gnome.org/Dia/Faq Main page at http://live.gnome.org/Dia
