I am not a UNIX guy, but there are only certain UNIX OS that are supported the others require compiling specifically - as I understand it. THe UNIX flavors that do work are documented, but due to my own non-use of it I don't know where that info is.
If Unbuntu is "in the system" then you can see if it works. If not, you can do the work to try it out. You won't be the last to want it, so if you share the results that would be very kind and helpful.
