You might want to uninstall it and try again from a fresh download from the servers.
It is unlikely to be the DIA program itself as many, many, people have it work on W7 machines. Is yours the newest release that came in the last day or so v 0.97.2? If that is so, then you might try downloading the version before 0.97.1. It is possible there is a glitch in this most fresh release. I would expect 0.97.1 to be solid and shiny.
