You can create text of any size or color, place it over the textbox the way you like it and then group the text and box together. You can then place this an other interesting grouped things in a separate Dia. You can copy and paste these items in other Dia very quickly. This is less convenient than a palette of shapes, but it does solve the problem. The saved file of special grouped items can be called up when ever you need it.
