I created a network diagram of my personal network using dia on SUSE towards the beginning of this year. I subsequently rebuilt my machine using Mint, however the shapes that were available to me in SUSE are not available on Mint, despite having version 0.97.1 of dia and diashapes installed. (In fact SUSE has a far richer repository of shapes than Ubuntu\Mint). Can anyone explain this? As a GPL app, I would have thought that any improvements that a vendor like SUSE provided for dia, would be pushed back to the application for the benefit of all. Is this not the case?
