Hi Cristi, the two operations are not the same if you have more than two Objects. In short, the one pair is a relative "one step" operation, while the other is an absolute "to end" operation. A bit more verbose: All Objects in a diagram are ordered with respect to covering others (z-Axis). Objects more to the front-end are painted over objects behind them (meaning more to the back-end) The "Send to Back" and "Send to Front" put objects to the respective end of the stack, while the other two put the object just one element in the respective direction. For clarity, assume the objects A to D to be in the order (front) A B C D (back). If you do "Send to Back" to object B, the result will be A C D B. On the other hand, if you do "Bring Backwards" on B, the result will be A C B D, meaning C will cover B, but D will not.
