A lot of these dependencies should be optional or are dragged in by 
something else. Dia does not depend on py25-libxml2 py25-numeric rarian (I 
don't even know what this is).
There is also no direct dependency to jpeg and tiff.

If some distributor screws his dependency list what should we do about?
Dia can be extended by Python plug-ins but that depency is optional as well.
