Yes, there's definitely a problem. I think it's the WM's fault, mainly. Emacs has used Alt & Control for ages. If you happen to have a keyboard with Windows keys, they usually map to Hyper. The only sensible use for them is to have them be the WM modifier key. I would like to keep off Alt, though.
