Hi Ed, You're correct. Current Apps only let you enter data for directly assigned OUs. I've created a Jira issue asking for this improvement as I couldn't find yours (https://jira.dhis2.org/browse/ACA-327). Please, feel free to add or correct any information written on the issue.
