Elmarie are you sure that the problem is not related to the error "Invalid domain for site key"? Maybe you need to get a new key.
I am not sure if your issue is related to reCaptcha version but I would have expected a different error message. I understand that reCaptcha is upgraded to v2 from DHIS2 2.28 upwards.
