Ths is solved temporarily in Tracker Capture by giving an informative error message to the user that tries to delete an event with an audit history. The ultimate plan is to make the event-delete just being a soft-delete that keeps the event history, but until then we should make an error message that explains what went wrong in the save. You can look at the tracker implementation for the same.
