You have two options here:
- set the org unit group set to Compulsory, which will make it available in the
org unit form as an additional drop-down (but this won't actually make it
mandatory - it can stay empty)
- edit the org unit group and assign the new org unit(s) to the group
The latter is usually easier for existing org units, and the former for newly
created org units (provided that they are created through the user interface,
one by one).
