Hello All,

Users of "vi" will recognize this function. After performing a command,
pressing "." will repeat that command in a different location. I thought
this could prove useful in KiCAD.

Assume a user sets the value of a component - say a resistor to 10K. This
would be the "command". Then the user moves the mouse over another
component and presses ".". Now, without any dialog boxes opening up, the
second component is assigned the same 10K value.

This does not have to be limited to just the value. It could also be
applied to footprints and probably some other elements as well.

The goal is to make assigning repeated values fast and visual. The option
to use a table is great (Symbol Fields Table) but it is not visual.
Mousing over a part and pressing "." would be a great option.

Anyway, this is just a thought to mull over.

Thanks everyone for the great software.
William
