Hi everybody, We are now almost ready to release the Alpha for Qt 6. The plan is to follow up with a first beta as quickly as we can manage, and then have frequent beta releases until things have stabilised enough.
Apart from fixing bugs, the most important item now is to finalise and review our APIs. I’d like to ask all Reviewers and Maintainers to help with this effort and review the new and changed APIs in their areas. I hope that Eddy can create an updated header diff for the modules that are part of 6.0 to make reviewing easier. As usual, we can add smaller items as comments in the header diff. Please report and log larger items and comments under https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTBUG-86467 and it’s subtasks. A comment that you reviewed a certain API and consider it fine is also extremely helpful, so that we can avoid duplicated work. I don’t expect us to be completely done with the API review by the time we release the first beta, but we should at least have done a first iteration by then.
