Hi Jeff,

Passing the device tree to the kernel and then on to the rootserver on ARM is 
definitely something that should be done. In this way ARM should become more 
like x86 where access to all physical memory(minus important kernel devices)  
is passed to the rootserver, and it becomes its responsibility to parse the 
device tree and create mappings for the actual devices.

So yes there is interest and intention, but unfortunately no timeline and many 
other priorities :)
