I was just assuming that most systems would have added STA_NANO where appropriate after they implemented nanosecond timekeeping and struct timespec. Of course, a system doesn't actually need nanosecond timekeeping in order to support clock_gettime. A library wrapper could multiply by 1000. -- These are my opinions.
