It would be interesting to run some experiments. If you have minsane set to 3, how long does it take to get started with 1, 2, or 3 pool slots? How about using 2.pool so you can get 8 hosts by using both IPv4 and IPv6? Repeat with minsane at 5 or 7. -- These are my opinions.
