Nice try. That was NOT the local directory! And if it were the local directory is there any world that is the result you would want? The waf doc is back up: https://waf.io/book/ They have NO info on DESTDIR, almost zero info on --prefix= Even if we come up with some scheme as to WHY one final destination, how do I keep ending up with TWO totally different destinations! Remember, some ended up in: /usr/local/usr/lib64/python2.7/site-packages/ntp/*py In what world does installing parts in these two sepearate locations make sense? /usr/local/u1/local/src/NTP/ntpsec/BATSHT/{bin,sbin,share} /usr/local/usr/lib64/python2.7/site-packages/ntp/*py We gotta come up with some doc on how these all fit together, and worse, Richard thinks --pythondir= and --pythonarchdir= also belong in the mix! I;'m not prejudging what should override what, in what order, to what final destination. I'm just trying to get a nice consistent result we can document and is easy for users and packagers to understand. Clearly no one here knows how this works at the moment....
