Yeah. And this discussion has been about DESTDIR. Dunno how --destdir=
fits in, it was first mentioned this afternoon...
So, instead of converging, we continue to diverge.
I'm filing a bug right now on how DESTDIR is silently broken, at least
in my test case. Once I'm done with that I'll retest with --destdir
