For server slots specified by name, the new DNS returns both the local IP Address and the hostname. Servers specified by numerical address don't return a hostname.
The current ntpq gives preference to the hostname slot. That works for pool slots where the address is useless. It's much more complicated for things like server 0.us.pool.ntp.org I think changing a few lines will revert to the previous behavior. Does anybody have any great ideas for how to take advantage of this extra info? -- These are my opinions.
