Nor would I advise it. Python has the same application range and scores quite a bit higher on the readable-six-months-later scale. If you're going to learn a new language for this sort of job Python doesn't really have any effective competition at this point, though Ruby gave it a gallant try for a couple years recently and deserves some continuing respect. -- <a href="http://www.catb.org/~esr/">Eric S.
