I do not have the time to work much on this (unfortunately, because of priorities). I have 1-2h a day and my goal for now is to understand the system and what exactly needs to be corrected. I found out that the old way of establishing connection does not work. The changes I did as a PoC are in buteo-sync-plugins. So I did some progress and I was able to initiate a successful connection from the PC to the syncml profile (see below) and I will look forward to understand how things need to be done right for bluez5 (I think I have an idea already). Part of the problem is the client-server concept and what is to be seen as a client and as a server depending on which side you are. If you can help somehow there would be great but the access to git.sailfish.org is still not working and I have no idea how we can cooperate.
