I read quite a lot about SailfishOS in the past weeks and its a very cool project. Thats why I have ordered for a Sony Xperia X and hopefully Ill be able to move from theory to practice very soon. I recently came across a new brand of mobile phones, which is TECNO produced in China and sold mostly in West-Africa. Some of these phones have rather impressive specs. The quality seems to be quite right as well. I would like to find out, what it takes to make SailfishOS run on these phones. Fact is that CM/LineageOS/libhybris do not support them. In addition, it may be difficult to get the attention of the producers, who are focused on Android only. Does this mean that there is no way SailfishOS can be brought to theses phones? What would be the best approach to get this done? I believe there is so much expertise in the community with people like vgrade, sledges, stskeeps, lbt, etc. Is there a way or is this just wishful thinking?
