That is completely separate from bt etc popups - basically the old maemo: calendar app -> dbus -> alarmd -> dbus -> system ui That has evolved into meego/harmattan era: calendar -> dbus -> timed -> dbus -> voland And in sfos context jolla-alarm-ui implements the voland (autostart) dbus service and handles both (or only, depending on how you look into it) clock and calendar alarms.
