If you can accept two tiny-tiny limitations - not compatible with Harbour and doesn't work with Jolla 1 due to what seems to be hardware limitation - there is a new map component that exposes Mapbox GL Native to QML: https://github.com/rinigus/mapbox-gl-qml . Its compiled for 5.6, easy to work with, documented, and gives you access to hardware accelerated map rendering. See examples at http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=99953 . I plan to publish the package for this map component as soon as I finish the work on offline support for Mapbox GL (rather major undertaking) at OpenRepos. Right now you could grab it at OBS. Rinigus
