Calendar is privileged data and cannot be currently accessed by third party applications. You have root, so you can of course bypass the restrictions yourself. For calendar the APIs used are: https://github.com/mer-packages/kcalcore/ https://github.com/mer-packages/mkcal https://github.com/nemomobile/nemo-qml-plugin-calendar Last one for QML access.
