I don't think there is. You're running on different hardware, though; the N900 and N9 did have the wiring to support USB OTG.

No, Jonni already gave you a link which answered this. The Jolla just doesn't have the necessary wires.
Will Sailfish automatically set a up a /dev/ttyUSBsomething when the device (like an external GPS) is plugged in?
Perhaps, if you compile the necessary kernel modules, assuming you can power up the devices without power from the Jolla.
