Can a device be configured both for MTP and USB OTG? I guess that USB OTG seems to have difficulties on Windows for some android devices (i.e. the one I have tested) as Windows does not support ext2/3, nor does it support BTRFS. I guess MTP is likely needed for windows users. It also seems like MTP is becoming standard for at least android phones nowadays.
I tried connect my Jolla to a Windows computer and could transfer files to and from it. On my Linux Jolla shows up as a strange device, more like a camera. I manage using rsync for now - works fine as I am totally Linux at home :) // Erik > Den den 26 mars 2014 klockan 07:34 skrev Radek Polak <pson...@seznam.cz>: > > On Tuesday, March 25, 2014 12:32:34 PM wsvries wrote: > > > Don know about OTG, but my Linux systems always attach a Generic Serial > > Driver to the devices. > > Why is Sailfish acting differently? > > No idea how this is in jolla but in openmoko there were options while > configuring linux kernel how the device will act when connected to PC .
