Hello, With pkcon, thr user of the phone can install any provided Rpm, without rooting the device. So, from my understanding, the Jolla phone can be used in the open model you describe. You can provide the package from your web site. The only restriction is the same than on the desktop which is that when the distribution is upgraded, dependencies of your package can break.
