Hi, Running applications from SSH requires that the environment be correctly set up. See the files in /var/lib/environment/nemo.
Developer mode (which I guess parts of which may filter back down to the SDK, at some point, maybe) will set this up for you when enabled, but in the meantime, you'll have to do it by hand. For diagnosing such problems, run (as root) journalctl -af which will output useful information about what is going on on the system.
