Yes, needs to be "v2" (or any other gar branch name). When GARTYPE is set, the usual fallbacks to svn:externals and the default of "v2" shouldn't trigger either, as GARTYPE takes precendence and overrides them, i.e. this build should have failed to find its gar/category.mk.
