Heads up for Rawhide users. It seems that gnome-shell-3.19.2-1.fc24.x86_64 is broken so avoid updates to this version if you can. Downgrading back to gnome-shell-3.19.1-3.20151110.fc24 and gnome-shell-extensions-3.19.1-1.fc24 workarounds the issues for me.
