Typically this means you're using the vesa driver, probably because you
said "nomodeset" on the kernel command line. If so, don't do that.

I have not changed anything on the system configuration including the
kernel.
The problem was present after installation of
http://download.fedoraproject.org/pub/fedora/linux/releases/21/Live/i386/Fedora-Live-KDE-i686-21-5.iso
