The latest f21 build of ascend doesn't seem to have any of the Requires or Provides metadata[1] that the previous build lists[2]. It might have something to do with the recent rpm dependency generation problem[3] (the version of rpm used to build the broken ascend was 4.12.0-0.beta1.3.fc21,) or it could be something else. I would try to rebuild ascend to see if that fixes things.
