Hi, just a quick note for those of you tracking the rpm-ostree rawhide
composes from:
http://rpm-ostree.cloud.fedoraproject.org/#/
The tree composes are running again now, they'd been broken for a week
or so.
The reason the compose broke was due to this bug causing a cascade:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=705443
And then fedora-release being in the bootstrap set was problematic
since we wanted to install generic-release later (because of
shadow-utils, which has a not-in-Fedora patch). That required:
https://github.com/cgwalters/fedora-atomic/commit/bc30722b246a04e5fce4104cc718a2806f20fe18
This in turn triggered a latent bug in rpm-ostree, since it has a hack
to move $chroot/etc/yum.repos.d out of the way to stick with the host's
repo configs, but the hack had been broken by a code reorganization,
then it became necessary again:
https://github.com/cgwalters/rpm-ostree/commit/d0484276185dcd8d1c1572d0c8b9f2f38ce3e910
I always think it's interesting to see some of the details of why a
system failed - it gives a good insight into how things work under the
hood.
