hi all, I'm writing today because I have just submitted my first package for review, huzzah!
My name is Michael McCune and I am a newly minted associate at Red Hat. I have been a software developer for just shy of 20 years, doing most of my work in the embedded realm of automotive GPS devices. Within the last 7-8 years I have started to do an increasing amount of work building virtual machine infrastructures and coding higher up the stack than the C code of the embedded world. I have had a long term interest with Linux and have wanted to become more involved with the community since I helped bring a custom kernel and open source based root filesystem to the last two products I was involved with. The last month or so has been a whirlwind experience for me, and a dream come true. Hopefully I have dotted my i's and crossed my t's with this initial package request.
