Hi.

I'm an upstream maintainer for the aoetools, the user space software that
complements the aoe driver in the Linux kernel.

The aoe driver is a storage initiator that allows the use of ATA over Ethernet
for cloud deployments and other use cases, so I've joined the Fedora Cloud SIG
as well.

I created a bugzilla item for the inclusion of the aoetools in RHEL, now that
RHEL 6.5 is set to include an updated aoe driver with upstream improvements.
To the bugzilla item, I attached patches based on the existing Fedora aoetools
git tree,

  http://pkgs.fedoraproject.org/cgit/aoetools.git/

... and I added Dennis Gilmore to the Cc list, thinking that he was the
maintainer, but he let me know that there is currently no maintainer for the
aoetools package in Fedora. He was in the git changelogs because of his role
as Fedora Release Engineer.

So since I'm already creating patches in a clone of the Fedora aoetools git
tree, I am wondering what should be the next step. My goals are to,

  1) Help get the Fedora aoetools package updated with the improvements from
upstream, and

  2) Help get aoetools included in RHEL once the Fedora package is in good
shape.

I'm pretty familiar with bugzilla, rpmbuild, and git, so I could volunteer to
maintain the Fedora package if that's probably the best way to get this going.
I've read the documentation on the wiki for potential package maintainers and
believe I could help out if there isn't someone else ready to step up.
